Shannon Matthews: The Musical - The Movie, a crowd funded film, reached its funding target of £10.000 in less than 24 hours.
Rewards that have been snapped up by eager supporters include Executive Producer credits, the chance to be on camera as an extra, copies of the script and 'Have You Seen Shannon Matthews: The Musical' T-shirts.
Any further funds that come in before the crowdfunding campaign's closing date of October 21st will go towards further funding the production and a glitzy premiere for supporters to attend.
The production is a collaboration between Essex comedy songwriter Kunt and the Gang and Yorkshire theatre company Tuppence Ha'penny who this year performed Shannon Matthews: The Musical - to sell out crowds at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Kunt and the Gang is the songwriter behind Essex punk band The Kunts, best known for the top 20 hits Boris Johnson is a Fucking C**t and Boris Johnson is STILL a Fucking C**t. The Kunts have recently thrown their hat in early to the race for this year's Official Christmas Number One with a brand new song, 'F**k The Tories'.
