Broadcaster and filmmaker Louis Theroux is to front an in-depth profile of comedian Katherine Ryan in his new BBC series.

Theroux has been following the London-based performer on the latest leg of her recent UK tour of her show Missus.

He even joined Ryan onstage at Southend's Cliff's Pavilion earlier this month, delivering a live rendition of his cult rap number Jiggle Jiggle.

As well as Katherine Ryan Louis Theroux Interviews also features programmes about Stormzy, Dame Judi Dench, Rita Ora, Bear Grylls and Yungblud

Through exclusive access, the first episode sees Louis on tour with multiple Brit award winner, Stormzy. Louis brings viewers up close and personal to one of the UK’s biggest stars from the comfort of Stormzy’s living room, as well as the recording studio, during his biggest tour to date and at his local worship group.

In further episodes he explores each star’s life and career in personal and intimate settings, and often in the company of family members. Louis meets icon of stage and screen Dame Judi Dench in her countryside home and is invited on stage in the West End.

TV adventurer Bear Grylls takes Louis by boat to his remote island off the coast of North Wales and gives Louis an access-all-areas pass to his adventure family festival. Chart-topping singer-songwriter Rita Ora sits down with Louis at her father’s London pub and joins her as she perfoms live in Albania. Dominic Harrison, better known as musician Yungblud, takes Louis to meet his in family in Doncaster and his fans whilst on tour in the LA.

The series is part of the BBC's autumn and winter schedule but no transmission date for the Katherine Ryan edition has been announced.

Ryan, who is currently pregnant, is still on tour and can also be seen presenting the BBC Two series All That Glitters, in which contestants have to create a special one-off piece for a client.
