Joan Rivers might be dead but she briefly returned for an unexpected encore when sponsored posts appeared on her Facebook and Instagram accounts singing the praises of the newly launched Apple iPhone 6. According to reports Rivers had written a message saying that “This badass is being replaced by an iPhone 6… Great product.” 

The messages were taken down shortly after they appeared.

In other news it has been announced that Rivers' show on the E! Channel, Fashion Police, will continue without her. The Channel issued the following statement: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Joan Rivers and, for the last two weeks, have turned our attention to honouring her memory on all of our platforms. We have also thought long and hard about what Joan would have wanted as it pertains to the future of Fashion Police. We decided, with Melissa Rivers’ blessing, that Joan would have wanted the franchise to continue.Fashion Police will return in 2015 commencing with Golden Globes coverage on Monday, January 12. No further details will be announced at this time.” Before it returns E! will be honouring Rivers with a 90-minute special tribute episode this weekend.
