News: Prisoner-Turned-Comedian Takes Over Twitter Before Soho Shows

Ali Siddiq, who began comedy while he was incarcerated in a Texas prison, has agreed to take over the Twitter channel of suicide prevention organisation CALM to talk about his experience of prison and subsequent comedy career. This is ahead of performing his show ‘Ali Siddiq Is Bigger Than Bars’ at Soho Theatre from October 29th to November 3rd.

Siddiq has headlined comedy clubs around the US and is able to engage audiences of every demographic. His comedy special, It’s Bigger Than These Bars recently debuted on Comedy Central, and his Half Hour premiered on the network last year. Siddiq has four albums available for download on iTunes.

Siddiq will be taking over CALM'S Twitter channel @theCALMzone from 3pm to 5pm on Friday October 26th, where anyone is welcome to ask him anything and everything about being a prisoner, masculinity, mental health and stand up comedy.

Ali Siddiq is Bigger Than Bars is at Soho Theatre from October 29 - November 3. Buy tickets here.
