Jim Moir – aka comedian Vic Reeves - has settled his case over phone-hacking allegations just before it went to court.

Moir was one of a number of celebrities whose case was due to be heard in the High Court today. The others were Coronation Street's Rajan Harkishindas, TV presenter Kate Thornton and talent manager Chris Herbert.

It had been alleged that they were victims of unlawful information gathering.

The settlement was agreed for an undisclosed sum. The other claimants have also settled.
