Introducing rising star Alex Stringer, who makes her Edinburgh Fringe debut this year with her show ‘Happy Hour’.
Alex got sober in 2017 at 23 years old. Now eight years sober and a stand-up comedian, she talks being a flawed, non-boring, complicated sober person and invites her audience to come and spend a ‘happy hour’ with her.
Jessie Nixon makes her Edinburgh Fringe debut with ‘Don’t Make Me Regret This’ at the Assembly George Square Gardens for the full run. The show has been directed by Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner Lauren Pattison.
Created, written by and starring Kat Sadler, Such Brave Girls follows Josie (Kat Sadler), her sister Billie (Lizzie Davidson) and their mother Deb (Louise Brealey), risking everything they’ve got for a single scrap of love and adoration. Still desperately trying to escape the reality of their cramped, crumbling, debt-ridden home, it’s a good thing Dev (Paul Bazely) and Seb (Freddie Meredith) are coming to the rescue.

The Edinburgh Fringe is less than two months away and this week Beyond The Joke kicks off its Edinburgh preview coverage with an interview with Amelia Hamilton, who is making her full-length debut at the Fringe this year. Hamilton brings her character blend of wit, charm, and musical talent in this high-energy stand-up hour with “a proper gag in every line”- Chortle.
Award-winning comedian Suzi Ruffell is back on tour and ready to entertain everyone with her new show The Juggle.
Ruffell is one of the UK's top live stand-ups. With five sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, a nomination for Best Stand-Up Show in the National Comedy Awards and critical acclaim, she is a brilliantly funny, engaging and honest performer whose relatable humour has universal appeal.
It’s 1992 and the Queen isn’t the only one having an annus horribilis. In Stockport, Kath, Martin and Diane are all trying their best to get along. Martin (Conleth Hill) is down on his luck, Diane is running Parker’s with Sandy Copper (Steve Pemberton) and Kath just wants everyone to be happy. But Kath’s constant interfering changes all of their lives forever. They’ll need to depend on each other now more than ever, but who do they trust?
