Interview
Double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Carl Donnelly is touring with his latest show, Another Round.
Last year Carl did a show about how much he’s enjoying life.
Daisy May & Charlie's NightWatch sees This Country creators and stars Daisy May Cooper and her brother Charlie reunite on screen to spend the night together in notorious and reportedly haunted buildings across the UK, discovering long hidden secrets about the buildings – and each other.
Can you tell us about the forthcoming series of Gone Fishing – it feels a little different this series?
Well, I think if it is different, it's because we have a slightly different approach. We wanted to be free to pick the places we’ve always wanted to go and places which, sort of, personally meant something to us. So, it's just a slightly different approach, you know, rather than just focusing on species of fish.
Cally Beaton (QI, Live at the Apollo) is currently on nationwide tour. Her next show is at the Lowry in Salford on Saturday, October 18 with the tour running into summer 2026.
The show is a celebration of and for the female of the species. A funny show about a deadly serious subject, it centres around Cally’s manifesto for keeping cool when you’re a hot mess. It is called Namaste Motherf*ckers.
Why have you decided to take part in The Celebrity Traitors?
Well, I love the show. It's the best telly I've ever seen and I’ve watched every series. You just get totally involved and it’s a really clever game.
What do you think you’ll bring to the game?
I really don't know. You can imagine what you'd be like, but until I’m in it I just can’t say. People who know me have said I’ll either be the worst person they've ever had on the show or I’ll win it. Nothing in between.
Why have you decided to take part in The Celebrity Traitors?
Well, it's the most talked about game on television, isn't it? And on both sides of the Atlantic, worldwide in fact. I just think it's such a clever invention. I'd love to meet the person who thought it up.
What will you bring to the game?
I think it's a very good thing to remain as open as possible, really. But you see people think I'm nice, which could be very useful.
Why have you decided to take part in The Celebrity Traitors?
Never Mind the Buzzcocks is back for series five! Host Greg Davies returns as the ringmaster of rock n’ roll, joined by team captains Noel Fielding and Sophie Willan, regular panellist Jamali Maddix, and special themed episodes featuring guest captains.
Coming home to Norwich after a year working in Saudi Arabia, Alan Partridge makes a bravely personal and personally brave return to television - to produce, present and direct Britain’s first ever documentary about mental health. And no, he didn't play the comedy festival while he was out there.
