News: Prince Harry Gets A Makeover In The Windsors

The third series of royal spoof The Windsors will see a completely new side to Prince Harry. Tom Durant-Pritchard (The Crown, Judy and Feel Good) will take up the role of the young prince. Under the orders of his wife Meghan (Kathryn Drysdale), Harry tries to replace his hard drinking and rugger-bugger ways with mindfulness and mint tea.  Fortunately though his IQ remains unchanged: 8.

Tom Durant-Pritchard said: “I am thrilled to be joining The Windsors family... it has been a pleasure playing such a well-loved character.”

TV: The Windsors, Series Two, Channel 4

The Windsors is such an obvious idea it is weird to think that it has never been done before. Basically the royals are presented as a dysfunctional, soapy family. Charles is a kilt-wearing hippy, William is a thick drip, Kate is an upwardly mobile gypsy, Pippa is a superbitch. Etc, etc.

Interview: Morgana Robinson, The Windsors, C4

Morgana Robinson plays Pippa Middleton in The Windsors, returning to C4 on Wednesdays at 10pm from July 5.

What can you tell us about the new series of The Windsors?

Auntie Anne has another bee in her bonnet, Harry gets a taste for women's clothes and Pippa wears a lot of Lycra.

What can we expect from Pippa in series two? Is she still as feisty in this series?

Hell yeah. She puts a gypsy curse on Kate and is still lamping peeps in the face.

Interview: Kathryn Drysdale, The Windsors, C4

You play Meghan Markle in the new series of The Windsors. What’s her character like in the show?
The Windsors’ Meghan Markle is a bit more L.A. than the real life Meghan Markle, I suppose. She’s not quite into the whole dressing like she’s a royal quite yet, which is fun to play. There’s a lot of fun to be had with that. She still sees herself very much as a humanitarian, as she’s very much in her own world, and she’s sweet – there’s a sweetness to her which is nice to play with.
