News: New Series of Dave Gorman's Modern Life Is Goodish

Dave Gorman's hit series Modern Life Is Goodish is set to return to Dave. The six-part fourth run will start on 8th November.

With the last series seeing a peak of 1.9m individuals for its final episode across the week of transmission alone, the show has continued to grow its audience series-on-series making it one of UKTV’s most successful original commissions.

For Dave Gorman, modern life is still good…ish –  it’s the absurdities and contradictions of today’s world that continue to fascinate and infuriate him. In his own unique style, combining stand-up, visual storytelling, and real-world experimentation, Gorman homes in again on the areas of everyday life we normally take for granted. In this series Dave concocts a convoluted method for getting rid of an unwanted gift, reimagines a classic game show and recruits his favourite celeb, Homes Under The Hammer star Martin Roberts, for an experiment.

He also explores the perils of stock photography modelling, takes the long way round to irritate an old friend, explains in depth why he doesn’t describe himself as “A Geek”, and admits to regularly seeking life-guidance from hip-hop superstar Kanye West. And no Modern Life Is Goodish would be complete without Gorman sifting through “the bottom half of the internet” for those real words by real people; digging out the ridiculous, opinionated and downright maddest reader comments to be found on the most frenzy-inducing newspaper articles for, what Dave likes to call, a Found Poem.

Dave Gorman: Modern Life Is Goodish starts Tuesday 8th November, 10pm on Dave.
