News: Udderbelly Heads To Hong Kong

Underbelly’s unique performance venue, Udderbelly, will make its international debut on Hong Kong’s iconic waterfront skyline this December as part of the second year of the Great European Carnival.

Following the success of the Udderbelly in London and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Udderbelly Festival Hong Kong will mark Underbelly’s first foray into the live entertainment market in Asia, joining hands with Hong Kong based Entertainment Asia Ltd (EAL).

Udderbelly Festival Hong Kong will run from the 4th December 2015 to 14th February 2016, with a diverse programme of shows and entertainment to enjoy during the festive holidays over Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Chinese New Year.

The festival programme will include some of the very best shows and artists from the Edinburgh Fringe and UK, alongside a programme of local talent from Hong Kong and local language performances. Just like on London’s Southbank and in Edinburgh, audiences can expect to see circus, dance, music and family shows, as well as comedy and cabaret over the weekends and holiday period.

Udderbelly Festival Hong Kong will take up temporary residence on the Central Harbourfront Event Space, nestled in the Central business district of Hong Kong with its amazing metropolitan skyline as its backdrop. The festival will include Udderbelly’s usual ‘Pasture’ area surrounding the purple cow with alfresco seating, bars and delicious food from local operators. The Pasture will extend into The Great European Carnival site, which is packed full of thrill seeking rides, games and family entertainment.

Programme information and tickets will go on sale at the end of August.
