Dave's comedy storytelling series Crackanory has announced some of the guests who will be appearing in its third series.
Among those sitting in the char will be US actor Christopher 'Back to the Future' Lloyd, The Inbetweeners star Simon Bird and comedians Sarah Millican, Tamsin Greig and Greg Davies.
The acclaimed show, which has won a Broadcasting Press Guild Award and been nominated at the Monte Carlo Television Festival, Broadcast and Broadcast Digital Awards, will return later this year with 12 new and original stories and famous narrators.
It will contain two stories per episode, mixing narration, live action and animation. The tales, penned by some of comedy’s most imaginative writers including Nico Tatarowicz, Holly Walsh, Toby Davies and Kevin Eldon, will be performed by a host of well-known faces.
Last year’s award-winning series saw the likes of Simon Callow, Ruby Wax, Ben Miller, Sue Perkins, Emilia Fox and David Mitchell take part. It also featured Rik Mayall in his final television appearance, reciting “The Weatherman”, a tale penned by Tony Way (Extras, Spaced) about a weatherman who realises he can control the climate by making up forecasts.
