Russell Howard

Russell Howard is set to host his first ever stand-up TV show on Comedy Central. The 10-part series, Russell Howard’s Stand-Up Central, will air in late April.

The series is filmed in front of a live audience at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, featuring performances from Howard, as well as two handpicked stand-up guests each episode.  In addition to performing new and exclusive material, Howard will respond to questions from viewers on social media and interact with members of the audience.

Guests include Roisin Conaty, Doc Brown, Rob Delaney, Carl Donnelly, Nick Helm, Alex Horne, Andrew Maxwell, Sara Pascoe, Katherine Ryan and Joe Wilkinson.

Howard said of the series: “I'm really looking forward to hosting the show. We've got loads of great new comics on and...It’s also quite close to my house."

Jill Offman, MD Comedy Central UK & SVP Comedy VIMN added, “Ever since I saw Russell Howard’s live stand up show five years ago, it has been my dream to get him on Comedy Central.  The whole team loves his work and he has massive appeal with our audience.”

Last year, Howard embarked on his brand new sell-out world tour Wonderbox, performing to over 285,000 fans at 40 shows across the UK and Ireland, including four consecutive nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall, as well as sold-out runs in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.  He is the biggest UK comedian on Facebook with over 3.1 million fans and over a million on Twitter.
